Admission Timeline
Open House --- Saint Dominic School holds its annual Open House in late January during Catholic Schools’ Week. This is an excellent opportunity to meet our teachers, visit the school and learn about the many programs we offer. If you miss out on this event, you may schedule an individual tour by calling the school office and speaking with the Principal at least one week before your desired date.
January/February --- Saint Dominic School begins to accept applications for the following school year in early January through late February. Contact our school at admissions@sdbenicia.org or by calling 707-745-1266 to receive an Admission Application Packet in the mail.
February/March --- All students applying for admission to Saint Dominic School are tested to verify readiness and appropriate grade placement. Testing dates are scheduled during the last week of February.
March/April --- The school will notify prospective students of the status of their acceptance between March 15 and April 1. Registration paperwork and fees must be received no later than 2 weeks following notification of acceptance. A student’s enrollment is not guaranteed until this step is complete.
April/August --- Saint Dominic School will continue to accept applications from interested candidates for grades that still have openings for the Fall.
The majority of new students are notified in April for enrollment the following school year. However, Saint Dominic School may accept students in Grades PreK through Seven throughout the year if the applicant meets the admission criteria and if space is available.
